just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with ice on the inside of the windows? i am getting it now that its cold. i have had mine for a few weeks and after sorting out the back door that wouldnt open this is my next problem to sort out. i assume the car is letting in moisture somewhere but was wondering if anyone knows the best thingsto check. as far as i can see the door seals are in all good...is there anything else i should be looking to check. once the heater has had a chance to kick in the car is fine, just needs to wait for the thin bits of ice to thaw on the inside of the window :(

No problem with ice on the inside of the windows but I had problems getting in the car the other day.

We only have one Remote keyring and the missus has claimed that one. I always use a key.

Sunday morning I couldnt get the key in the drivers door, could get it in the passenger door but not turn it, finally unlocked the car using the tailgate.

Doors were quite well frozen shut but I think it was down to the wierd conditions. We had snow which froze quite hard on Saturday but then later in the day it all started to melt and it started raining.

Temperature then plummeted and froze really hard with everything soaking wet.

The car park was absolutely lethal. Had to hold onto things to walk!!

Regards

I am sure it is as you say moisture getting in the car, normally this through a dodgy/worn door seal; it may be something to do with the back door?, maybe the seal was damaged slightly before the door didn't open, the only real way I found to test this was, putting a couple of towels around the edge of the rubber seal/door and see if I was able to find out which door (if it is a door seal) was letting the moisture in.

Basically I spend last year putting towels around the edge of each door of my Vectra until I found out the the boot was letting moisture in, but also after reseating the door seal - I found that the top of the windscreen (which was replaced a month before hand) also was letting some moisture in... One phone call to the windscreen people who replaced it; replaced it again? Everything was good, but then again it was a little warm after then...

Every replacement window that I have had fitted has leaked. I have had to seal them off myself afterwards (I don't bother calling cowboys back to mess around a 2nd time). Has it had a replacement window?

i am getting about two small drops of water on the inside of the windscreen, on some mornings. don't know where its coming from, did try the hose pipe test, but no water got through?

maybe I'm breathing to heavily? maybe i should stop breathing, but then that would make too many people on here, happy.

if you find the answer to your problem, do tell us...

This might be the first recorded evidence of a Galaxy where the a/c works too well! :( :(

No ice, but I've suffered badly this winter with internal condensation. The air con just does not cope with clearing it, and even when driving, the windows get misted up.

Even when initially clear inside, it seems like the moist air is being blown in from the aircon system, as it steams up in no time when its first turned on, and then takes ages for a partial clearing of the windscreen and front windows, but it wont clear any of the rear ones

I've got no internal water leaks, so may have to resort to a refill kit off ebay.

ive started getting bad condensation but think thats due to the added extra of a paddling pool in drivers footwell
